This 195-Square-Foot Tiny Home on Wheels is Powered by the Sun

Sharing is caring!

If you’ve ever dreamed of totally living tiny and off the grid, now you actually can. The GoSun Dream is a tiny house on wheels that runs on solar power. It has everything you need to live comfortably off the grid for up to a month, including a full kitchen, bathroom, not one but two queen-sized beds, and even has temperature control for all season.

With sloped walls and ceilings, the Dream looks like something out of Alice in Wonderland. The interior lives up to its name with modern finishes like clean, white walls paired with black cabinets and window trimming, all warmed up by natural wood countertops and ceilings.

And with only 195 square feet, the fully functional kitchen is the real gem of this tiny, energy efficient home. It has a refrigerator, a stovetop with two burners, range hood, and even an oven.

The GoSun Dream was created with energy efficiency in mind by GoSun, which used to sell solar appliances but has since made the switch to manufacturing solar-powered tiny homes on wheels. “What we found is that the builders of tiny homes are either concentrated on luxury items or low cost,” GoSun founder and CEO Patrick Sherwin told BusinessInsider . “No one was focused on energy efficiency and solar, yet many potential buyers want a well-built tiny home that has off-grid capabilities or solar for emergency power.”

In addition to solar power, the Dream also comes with propane for cooking and heating the home, as well as an inverter and lithium-ion batteries. And if you plan to road trip in the Dream, it can be towed by a three-quarter or one-ton pickup truck, and you can still hook it up to traditional power sources like at an RV stop. The Dream retails for $69,700 and won’t be available until next year, but you can place your deposit now on GoSun’s website .
