Paris’s Grand Palais will be sporting a new evening look at Art Paris. Well, three looks to be exact. For the second year in a row, a selection of contemporary video works will be projected across the building’s famous façade from 6 to midnight for the duration of the international art fair that opens this Thursday. Depending on the moment, the building may seem poised to wash away under a rush of water by teamLab; it may warp into a concentric Op Art abstraction by Dominic Harris; or it may reorganize into a mechanized chorus of spinning gears by Mounir Fatmi. Who says architecture has to be static?
