In this complete renovation to an original modern shorefront, authenticity was of utmost importance. House on a Knoll
Best Transitional Winner: Knoll House in Ferrisburgh, VT, by Elizabeth Herrmann. Perfectly settled into the wooded site, thoughtful materials merge the house with the natural environment. Each space uniquely shapes to its surrounding, while large Marvin Ultimate Casement Windows take in the beautiful sites.
Camp Timeless
Best Traditional New Construction Winner: Little Camp in MA by Jacob Albert. This new construction feels like it has been there for years. Fitting to its surroundings, the camp uses exposed rafter tails, an entirely wood interior, and Marvin Ultimate Double Hung Windows.
Historical Town Hall Restored
Best Remodel/Addition Winner: Westborough Town Hall in Westborough, MA, by Brian Humes. A once dilapidated town hall was renovated to address the aging conditions. Maintenance-free Marvin clad-wood windows were used to duplicate the originals still in the building.
Ranch Revival
Best in Commercial Winner: McClellan Ranch Preserve Environmental Education Center in Cupertino, CA, by Henry Siegel. An 1870s ranch was given new purpose when an Education Center was built. Custom Marvin windows were used to match specific design needs, preserving the presence of wildlife.
