Italian architect and designer Paola Navone has long brought her eclectic and colorful spirit to brands like Knoll, Ligne Roset, and, most recently, Crate & Barrel. But after years of sticking to furniture and accessories, she is now trying her hand at textiles, partnering with Dominique Kieffer—a branch of historic Italian fabric house Rubelli—on her first line of soft goods. Cheerful twists on tried-and-true motifs accompany rollicking statement pieces, all of which take major inspiration from Navone’s Italian upbringing and her travels through Africa and Asia. The Comme le Métal designs evoke the metallic sheen of a beetle. Tweed Couleurs, a series inspired by Chanel, is realized in an electric palette of acid-green and turquoise. Quai Branly, a delicate tribal-inspired pattern, is named after the indigenous-art museum in Paris. And Chameleon showcases a classic camouflage print, chic as ever in a scheme of deep indigos and mossy greens.
