Hinata Hyuga is one of the main characters from Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto series. Belonging to the Hyuga Clan, Hinata is one of the most powerful people in the entire Konoha village and the same time, she's someone of high stature as well, meaning she's respected throughout the village.

Throughout the series, Hinata has played an extremely important role which is why she's a favorite among the fans. However, her reserved personality means that very few people have explored her character to the fullest. Here are 10 things you didn't know about Hinata Hyuga.

Her Debut
Hinata Hyuga, being one of the main characters in Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto series, made her debut quite early in the series. In the Naruto anime, Hinata appears in the very first episode of the series and gives the fans a glimpse of what her character is all about.
In the manga, however, Hinata made her proper debut in Chapter 34, which is much later than in the anime. Nonetheless, Hinata's character is just as great in the manga as it is in the anime.

The Heiress Of The Hyuga
Hinata Hyuga, being a member of the main family of the Hyuga clan, was supposed to the next leader after her father, Hiashi Hyuga. However, her personality turned out to be the total opposite of what a leader should be like.
Furthermore, after marrying Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata moved to the Uzumaki household and the role of the heiress of the Hyuga clan passed on to her sister, Hanabi Hyuga. By the looks of it, Hanabi will be the next one to lead the Hyuga clan in the future of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Her Ninja Rank
Hinata Hyuga is one of the most powerful ninjas of her generation, however, it seems that her progress towards becoming a full-fledged shinobi halted at some point. In part 1 of Naruto, Hinata Hyuga became a Genin, and she made sure to progress to the rank of a Chunin by part 2.
However, Hinata never became a Jonin, or at least that's what we're led to believe. This makes her one of the few from her generation who remained a Chunin for life. The fact that Hinata isn't even an active ninja anymore further backs the claim that she never made it to the Jonin rank.
7
Age Of Graduation From The Academy
Hinata Hyuga was trained extremely hard by her father, Hiashi Hyuga during her childhood. This made her progress very fast and it led to her rising through the ranks at a decent speed. At the age of 12, Hinata Hyuga graduated from the Academy and became a full-fledged genin.

Despite being very skilled, however, Hinata was no genius, as there are people like the legendary Sannin, among many others, who made it to this and even higher even before hitting the age of 10! Nonetheless, Hinata's progress as a ninja isn't to be underestimated.
6
Chunin Rank
As mentioned above, Hinata Hyuga rose the rank of Chunin eventually, and she managed to do it after just a few years of graduating from the Academy. Although Hinata's initial attempt at becoming a Chunin was thwarted by none other than her cousin, Neji Hyuga, her second attempt at taking the Chunin Exams saw her achieve this rank successfully.
This whole turn of events took place during the time-skip in the Naruto manga. However, in the anime, a filler arc covering the events of the Chunin exams showed us how exactly Hinata became a Chunin.
5
Her Nature Types
Hinata Hyuga is average when it comes to her skills with ninjutsu. Over the years, Hinata has been able to learn two nature types in Fire Release and Lightning Release.
Although she's barely ever made use of Fire Release, Hinata has been seen using Lightning Release to enhance her taijutsu skills, as seen when she used Twin Lion Fists to take down the leader of the Akatsuki, Pain, however, the attempt failed miserably. Nonetheless, over the years, Hinata's usage of these techniques could've gotten stronger.
4
The Hyuga Affair
Hinata Hyuga was one of the reasons why the Hyuga Affair was triggered. As a kid, she was nearly kidnapped by a Kumogakure shinobi who was then killed by Hiashi Hyuga in an attempt to save his daughter.

This ultimately led to the death of Hinata's uncle, Hizashi Hyuga, who gave himself to Kumogakure as a sacrifice and to keep the secrets of the Byakugan from falling into the hands of the enemies.
3
Her Strength
Hinata doesn't like fighting, gentle as she is. Her father realized this at an early stage, which later prompted him to take more interest in Hanabi Hyuga instead. However, that's not to say that Hinata is weak. Although not the strongest Kunoichi, Hinata is more than capable of holding her own against any enemy.
By adulthood, her skills are comparable to Neji himself, which just goes to show how far she's come. In fact, Hanabi, who everyone considers to be stronger than her, was defeated by Hinata in a fight in one of the recent novels.
2
Her Stats
Hinata's stats as a ninja are pretty decent, as far as the Third Databook is concerned. Her biggest known strengths according to it are her Taijutsu skills and her intelligence. She's also decent in hand seals and ninjutsu, and average in other aspects, such as Genjutsu, speed, and stamina.
Her biggest known weakness in the series is her physical strength, although she relies on Gentle Fist, which makes up for the lack of strength to a certain extent. As an adult, Hinata is likely much stronger and fearsome as a ninja.

What The Databooks Say
Thanks to Kishimoto's databooks, we know a lot more about Hinata Hyuga than what the manga and the anime tell us, such as her hobbies. According to the databooks, Hinata's hobby is to press flowers. Her favorite foods are known to be zenzai and cinnamon rolls, while she is known to disklike crabs and shrimp.
Furthermore, the databooks state that Hinata wants to have a rematch with Neji one day, which isn't possible anymore, and she also wants to fight her father, Hiashi Hyuga one day.
